This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies nominal lengths to be applied to external thread parts of bolts, machine screws, etc. to be used generally and thread lengths for general purpose bolts having body without screw threads at shank (for example, hexagon head bolts with nominal diameter body, hexagon head bolts with pitch diameter body, etc.). Further, in cases where this nominal length and thread length can not be applied, those are specified in product Standard of external thread parts and the value should preferably be used.
