Publiekrechtelijk dient een constructie krachtens het Bouwbesluit te voldoen aan minimale eisen met betrekking tot betrouwbaarheid ten aanzien van sterkte (voor bepaalde vloeren) van doorbuiging in de eindtoestand. Voor de kwantificering van deze prestatie-eisen is in het Bouwbesluit verwezen naar NEN 6700. Indien men ontwerpt volgens NVN-ENV 1994-1-1 in combinatie met dit NAD mag worden aangenomen dat het in NEN 6700 geeiste veiligheidsniveau wordt bereikt. Voor zover in dit NAD verwezen is naar normen waarnaar ook in het Bouwbesluit is verwezen en waarvoor in of krachtens het Bouwbesluit nadere toepassingsvoorwaarden zijn gegeven, worden deze geacht van toepassing te zijn.
