A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Il constitue une partie de l'ensemble du code technique produit par le CEN/TC 296 en application de la Directive RID/ADR. L'annexe A donne certaines définitions issues du RID/ADR mais aucune définition des paragraphes 4.2 et 6.7 de ces textes.
