Gives safety requirements for boilers with a minimum fuel input of 12.5 million Btu/hr and firing more than one burner. Boilers that use gas, pulverized coal and fuel are covered. Safety requirements including purging and interlocks are intended to prevent explosions and implosions in the combustion system.
