Describes the managed objects for INA Cycle 1 with the major focus on the Service-segment/Delivery-segment (SS/DS) interface. An information model for INA is presented, including the rationals for the INA Management Information Base (MIB) which incorporates the Service/Segment Delivery Separation (SS/DS) and other key manageable aspects of an INA network. INA Cycle 1 will initially concentrate on supporting the currently defined, OSI-compliant SONET and BISDN managed objects classes. The approach is to reuse currently defined, OSI-conforming managed objects whenever possible and to define new managed objects only when necessary. Issue 2, refines and adds to the concepts presented in Issue 1, was influenced by the ongoing 1992 INA Base Technology Experiments and includes refinements developed.
