Purpose of this NATO standardization agreement (STANAG) is to respond to the following interoperability requirements: - To lay down the necessary framework for NATO policy to create Medical Radiological Incident Investigation Teams (MRIITs) for medical evaluation and initial response following radiological incidents in order to initiate, as soon as possible, all relevant medical remedial measures such as biological dosimetry and decorporation therapy.
