Bellcore's preliminary view of generic requirements for SMDS Exchange Access Operations Management (XA-OM) service and Exchange Carrier Operations management (ECOM) capabilities. As defined in the TA, SMDS XA-OM service consists of a set of network management capabilities provided by a Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) to an Interexchange Carrier (IC).
