Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic requirements for operations interface to support ISDN Basic Rate Access (BRA) surveillance functions between an Operations System and Network Elements. The proposed interface requirements are presented in the form of an information model and a set of services. Open Systems Interconnection management services and protocol defined in ISO/IEC DIS 9595 (Information processing systems - Open Systems Interconnection - Management information service definition) and in ISO/IEC DIS 9596 (Information processing system - Open Systems Interconnection - Management information protocol specification) respectively are used as the basis for developing the information model and the service set.
