The Bellcore Client Companies (BCCs) use Quality and Reliability (Q & R) information in assuring the quality of procured products and services and as input to procurement decisions. Information derived from suppliers' Q & R Data helps enable a BCC to consider the effects of Q & R on total costs of product procurement, operation and maintenance. This document proposes generic requirements regarding Q & R Data provided by a supplier when the requesting BCC determines that a basic level of assurance is appropriate. Generally these generic requirements are intended for data on simple products from small suppliers. This document includes requirements of a suppliers's system for collecting and reporting data and requirements for responding to a BCC request for Q & R Data by completing and returning a standard report form.
