Defines field procedures for measurement of the airborne sound insulation properties of interior walls, floors and doors between them under diffuse sound field conditions in both rooms, and for determination of the protection shown to the occupants of the building. Provides values for airborne sound insulation which are frequency dependent, and can be converted into a single number, characterizing the acoustic performance, by applying ISO 717-1.
