Dieser Teil der IEC 61241 ist für Betreiber vorgesehen und behandelt nur die Gesichtspunkte, die direkt auf die Prüfung und Wartung und Instandsetzung von elektrischen Anlagen in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen bezogen sind. Er enthält weder die allgemeinen Anforderungen an elektrische Anlagen noch diejenigen an die Prüfung und Zertifizierung elektrischer Betriebsmittel. Die vorliegende Norm ergänzt die Anforderungen, die in der IEC 60364-6-61 enthalten sind.
