EN 50268 legt ein Prüfverfahren für die Messung der Rauchdichte von Kabeln und isolierten Leitungen fest, die unter definierten Bedingungen brennen. Das Prüfverfahren ist für Starkstromkabel, -leitungen oder LWL-Kabel geeignet. Teil 1 von EN 50268 legt die Prüfeinrichtung fest. In Verbindung mit einem informativen Anhang für die einzuhaltenden Anforderungen legt EN 50268-2 die Prüfverfahren fest. ANMERKUNG: Erfahrungen haben gezeigt, dass für einige Kabel mit einem Aussendurchmesser von mehr als 70 mm das Prüfprotokoll nicht geeignet ist. In diesen Fällen sollte der Hersteller konsultiert werden.
