Diese Norm enthält die Deutsche Fassung der Europäischen Norm EN 61000-4-34:2007 + A1:2009 und ist identisch mit der Internationalen Norm IEC 61000-4-34:2005 und ihrer Änderung 1:2009. Sie beschreibt die Prüfung der Störfestigkeit von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten (Einrichtungen), die einen Netzstrom oberhalb 16 A je Leiter besitzen, gegenüber Spannungseinbrüche, Kurzzeitunterbrechungen und Spannungsschwankungen der Versorgungsspannung, wobei letztere Prüfung im Rahmen der Anwendung dieser Norm freigestellt ist.
