A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

The originals of these drawings were commissioned by the CSIRO Division of Protein Chemistry. They have been made available for issue in conjunction with Australian Standard 1176, Part 1-1971, Methods of Test for the Determination of the Flammability of Textiles from which Clothing may be Made: Part 1 - Method for the Determination of Ease of Ignition. The drawings are shown dimensioned in the original imperial units in order not to delay their issue.
