Applies to slings comprising a length of wire-coil belting consisting of transverse coils which are connected by, and which can freely articulate about, cross-rods, and a terminal attachment at each end. Dimensions, method of designation, materials and heat treatment, lifting capacity, manufacture, testing and marking are specified. Recommendations for care, maintenance and use are given in an appendix.
