Applies to fabric belting having no distinct rubber cover other than that imparted to the fabric by impregnation with rubber. General construction and material requirements, minimum physical properties, and tolerances on width are given. Power capacities in kW/25 mm of belt width at 180 degrees arc of contact are tabulated for belt speeds from 5 to 30 m/s, small pulley diameters from 75 to 1400 mm and tensile strengths from 190 to 575 kN/m width. Arc of contact correction factors are tabulated and recommendations and examples for drive design are given in appendices.
