Lays down essential requirements for the installation of pipes manufactured to AS 1761. It details considerations to be taken into account in design calculations and installation procedures. Design soil compaction, design pressure, ring compression, stresses, thickness and handling stiffness are covered. Sectional properties for each size of the four corrugations are tabulated and appendices include reference tables of cover limits for railway M250 and highway T44-A14 live loads.

This standard sets out requirements for the design and installation of structures of helical lock-seam corrugated steel pipes.
