Provides a range of standard clamps for use in electrical installations for connection of earth and bonding conductors to metal pipes and metal cable sheaths of external diameter 11 to 105mm. Performance requirements and certain mechanical features applicable to all clamps, including special clamps fabricated on site and those outside the dimensional range provided, are specified.

This specification prescribes the size ranges, performance and certain mechanical features, including the provision of suitable earth conductor connecting facilities, of metal clamps and clips used to connect the earth or bonding conductor of an electrical installation to cylindrical surfaces such as metal pipes and metal cable sheaths.NOTE: The term ‘clamp’ as used throughout this specification includes ‘clip’.Provision is made for clamps suitable for pipes and cables of external diameters from 11 mm to 105 mm.Some typical designs of earth clamps are shown in Appendix C.
