Specifies requirements for elastomeric hose and hose assemblies for use with steam-cleaning machines according to maximum permissible working pressure and with temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius. Materials and construction, dimensions and tolerances, and marking requirements are covered. Physical properties and resistance to chemicals are also dealt with.

This Standard specifies requirements for elastomeric hose and hose assemblies for use with steam-cleaning machines and through which may pass water, steam, detergent solutions and other cleaning agents or mixtures of these materials up to a temperature of 200¦C. The Standard applies to hose suitable for steam which may become slightly superheated through the operation of the machine, but is not suitable for solutions containing organic solvents.NOTE: For hose to be used with organic solvents, consultation with the manufacturer is advised.
