This Standard outlines test methods and certain performance requirements for rigid plastic containers manufactured by any method and having nominal capacities of up to and including 250 L or 400 kg.It is applicable to containers for non-dangerous goods and, with limitations (see Preface), for dangerous goods.NOTES:1 The use of this Standard may involve exposure to hazardous materials, operations and equipment.This Standard does not purport to address all the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of whoever uses it to consult and establish appropriate safety and health practices, and to determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.2 Appendix A provides purchasing guidelines which may be specified by the purchaser at the time of enquiry or order.
