These requirements are not intended to be applied to equipment produced prior to the publication of this Standard. This Standard is to be read in conjunction with AS 3200.1.0-1990. It is identical with and reproduced from IEC 601-2-14:1988.

This clause of the General Standard applies except as follows: 1.1 Scope Addition:This Particular Standard specifies the requirements for the safety of ELECTROCONVULSIVE THERAPY EQUIPMENT, as defined in Sub-clause 2.1.101, hereinafter referred to as EQUIPMENT.
