Provides a guide to the features and typical properties for a solvent-borne wood stain for interior use.

This document provides a guide to the features and typical characteristics that are expected of a solvent-borne wood stain when applied in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.Paints covered by this Standard are classified as paint Type 18 of AS 2311.NOTE: Solvent-borne wood stain characterized by this guide is intended for use on interior timber surfaces such as furniture, doors and architraves. Because of the nature of the stains it is necessary to over coat them with a flat, semi-gloss or gloss clear finish characterized by AS 3730.25.
