Specifies basic requirements for the bracing, connection and installation of nailplated timber roof trusses. Requirements are given for supporting structures, roof truss installation, roof bracing, truss connection and overhangs. This edition incorporates provision for limit state design methods, requirement for fixing to non-loadbearing external walls, and provisions for intermediate ceiling joists and internal top chord ties for north-light (sky-light) trusses. Appendices provide guidance on temporary bracing, transport, storage, lifting and handling of roof trusses; typical specification for and example of steelbrace; fixing details for typical girder brackets (truss boots); and recommended practice for roof truss installation.

This Standard specifies requirements for the bracing, connection and installation of nailplated timber trusses in roof structures for typical application.
