This Standard sets out a method for determining the residue from evaporation of bitumen emulsion.

SCOPE This Standard sets out a procedure for determining the proportion of bituminous materials which is retained on a test sieve when it is strained through the mesh with the aid of an appropriate solvent.This method is applicable to liquid road tars, semi-solid road tars and other bituminous materials.
