It provides for three basic types of signs for mounting on a vehicle or trailer. The Standard does not cover the use of illuminated flashing arrow signs in specific road situations which is normally the subject of regulation by the relevant traffic authority.NOTES:1 Illuminated flashing arrow signs are intended for use in conjunction with other traffic signs and devices to provide a highly conspicuous advance warning of the short-term closure of a road or part thereof. See AS 1742.3 for guidance on the use of such signs.2 See Appendix A for details of the information that should be supplied with an enquiry or order for illuminated flashing arrow signs to this Standard.
