Provides guidelines to software developers, suppliers and maintainers and to purchasers in the specification and implementation of AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality system requirements. This Interim Standard is identical with and reproduced from ISO 9000-3:1997.

This part of ISO 9000 sets out guidelines to facilitate the application of ISO 9001:1994 for organizations developing, supplying, installing and maintaining computer software. It does not add to, or otherwise change, the requirements ISO 9001.This part of ISO 9000 is not intended to be used as assessment criteria in quality system registration/certification.
