CONTAINED IN VOL. 15.04, 2012 Defines the total desulfated fatty matter in a sample of sulfated oils by decomposition with diluted mineral acids and extraction of the decomposed fat.

1.1This test method covers the determination of the total desulfated fatty matter in a sample of sulfated oils by decomposition with diluted mineral acids and extraction of the decomposed fat. This test method is not applicable to samples that are not completely decomposed upon boiling with mineral acids. This test method was derived from Test Methods D500, Sections 29 through 32.

1.2The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
