Specifies procedures for assessing the carbon black dispersion in polyethylene using a microscope. Method 823A is generally used with polyethylene compounds but sometimes extrusions and mouldings. Method 823B is used with polyethylene extrusions or mouldings only.

These methods describe procedures for assessing the carbon black dispersion in polyethylene using a microscope.

Method 823A is primarily intended for use with polyethylene compounds but may be used for extrusions and mouldings if so specified.
