For a.c. voltage to earth not exceeding 250 V and a frequency not exceeding 500 Hz and 120 V d.c. Two sizes, 150 A and 400 A ratings.

This British Standard specifies requirements for single pole power outlets, cable sockets, cable couplers and appliance couplers (these are all referred to generally throughout the standard as accessories). The accessories are for use on a.c. supplies with a voltage to earth not exceeding 250 V and a frequency not exceeding 500 Hz and on 120 V d.c. supplies. Two sizes are specified, rated at 150 A and 400 A respectively. The accessories are intended for use in the television industry for lighting purposes “on location?? either indoor or outdoors. The accessories are intended for continuous use in ambient temperatures between − 20 °C and + 35 °C.
