BS 8520-2 is based on PAS 60-2:2004.

This British Standard specifies requirements for portable and/or transportable negative pressure units (NPUs) incorporating HEPA filters covered by BSEN1822 for use in the controlled removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

This British Standard is also applicable to NPUs designed to create negative pressure within a portable decontamination unit facility or working enclosure and two-part NPUs.

This British Standard is not applicable to local exhaust ventilation.
