Bibliography

Defines safety requirements to minimize the hazards that may occur during the assembly, use, maintenance, repair, decommissioning, disassembly and disposal of shearer loaders and plough systems when operated in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements in underground mining.

This Standard specifies the requirements for mobile extracting machines working underground at the face. It specifies requirements for the construction, equipment marking and testing of shearer loaders, trepanners, jib-type cutters, face opening machines and plough systems. This includes their control systems and face and goaf-side guiding and haulage elements. Conveyors, spill plates and auxiliary devices such as lasers, etc., are excluded.
