Gives requirements for two classes single-hole fixing, miniature lever-operated manual switches used in nominal 28 Vd.c. and 115/200 V three-phase, 400 cycle a.c. systems in aircraft. One type is sealed, the other only at the lever entry. The former being suitable for higher altitude and wider temperature conditions. Includes type test schedule, serviceability, salt corrosion, dust and sand and fluid contamination tests. Illustrates envelope dimensions for miniature lever-operated manual switches, fixing holes and details of locating washer, typical test circuit for short-circuit test, and measuring device for dust and sand test.

This British Standard specifies the requirements for two classes of single-hole fixing, miniature lever-operated manual switches for use in nominal 28 V d.c. and 115/200 V three-phase, 400 cycle a.c. systems in aircraft.

Class 1 switches are sealed and are suitable for higher altitude and wider temperature conditions than Class 2, which are sealed only at the lever entry.
