In diesen TL sind die Mindestforderungen an Sauerstoff für technische Zwecke - im weiteren technischer Sauerstoff genannt - festgelegt. Diese TL gelten nur für das Druckgas technischer Sauerstoff und enthalten weder die Qualitätssicherung von entsprechenden Geräten noch deren routinemässige Überprüfung. Da Technischer Sauerstoff nicht für Atemzwecke vorgesehen ist, muss eine Verwechslung mit gasförmigem Atemsauerstoff nach TL 6830-0003 oder medizinischem Sauerstoff nach TL 6505-0021 ausgeschlossen sein.
