Acetylen 2.6 ist ein brennbares, ungiftiges Gas. Es wird in der Labortechnik verwendet. Um Druckgase verschiedener Reinheit unterscheiden zu können, werden Schlüsselzahlen verwendet. Dabei gibt bei Acetylen 2.6 die Zahl vor dem Punkt die Anzahl der Neunen, die Zahl nach dem Punkt die letzte numerische Stelle des Prozentwertes an. Demnach hat Acetylen eine Reinheit von 99,6 Vol.-%. Diese TL gelten nur für das Druckgas Acetylen 2.6 und enthalten weder die Qualitätssicherung von entsprechenden Geräten noch deren routinemässige Überprüfung.
