This Note provides general information on the design and use of concrete containing ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) as a cement replacement. Details on the specifications of GGBFS are included. Properties and characteristics of GGBFS are provided, viz. properties of concrete containing GGBFS, durability characteristics, selection of replacement ratios and curing for blended cements.
