Describes a requirement for decoders to implement an integer-output 8X8 inverse discrete cosine transform (IDCT) for the generation of inverse-transformed sample differences with a nominal range from -2[B] to (2[B])-1 for some integer number of bits B, where B is greater than or equal to 8.
