This Standard is included in DIN Handbook 185. Applies to the finished parts of drop forged and hammer forged single hooks with threaded shank, with or without nose, on lifting means and load carrying means of lifting appliances, which are used primarily for the suspension of loads. In this standard, "power driven series produced lifting appliances", is understood to cover also appliances which are incorporated in cranes. The correlation of the lifting capacity of the single hooks to the strength classes and driving gear groups is in accordance with DIN 15400.
