Lays down the technical acceptance conditions for boring and milling machines with a column mounted in a movable manner on the bed and having a horizontal spindle, together with the corresponding permissible deviations for general purpose machines with standard degrees of accuracy. They include preparatory measures, geometrical tests of the machine (accuracy of manufacture) and practical tests of the workpiece (accuracy of working). The tests correspond to DIN 8601 (Preliminary Standard), see Explanations.
