Dieser Anwendungsleitfaden für cross-acceptance ist ein Technischer Bericht über die Basisnorm. Er ist auf dieselben Systeme anwendbar und wendet sich an dieselben Anwender wie die Norm selbst. Er stellt zusätzliche Informationen über die Anwendung der EN 50129 auf cross-acceptance bereit. Deshalb behandelt er die Anerkennung (durch eine Sicherheitsbehörde) eines zuvor bereits zugelassenen Systems oder Produkts in einer anderen Umgebung und/oder einem anderen Umfeld, was oft als cross-acceptance bezeichnet wird.
