Proposes specific requirements for luminaires for use with tungsten filament, fluorescent and other discharge lamps in supply voltages up to 1000V for use in clinical areas, where medical treatment, examination and medical care takes place in hospitals and health care buildings. This does not apply to medical electrical equipment as defined in clause 2.2.15 of IEC 60601 containing a light source.
