Proposes the adoption of IEC 60645-4:2001 to provide specific requirements for audiometric equipment designed for use in pure tone audiometry to ensure that extended high-frequency audiometry performed on a given human ear with different types of equipment which comply with this Standard give substantially similar results. Copies of IEC 60645-4 may be purchased from or viewed at Standards Australia offices.
