This particular draft Standard defines addressing in private integrated services digital networks (PISDN). Its purpose is to serve as a general and common reference for all addressing statements in the other Standards on PSIN. It is one of a series of emerging ISO Standards applicable to PISDN. The series uses the ISDN concepts as developed by CCITT and is also within the framework of Standards for Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) as defined by ISO. The substantive content of this document is ISO/IEC Committee Draft 11571.
