Proposes requirements for stainless and heat-resisting steel plate, sheet and strip supplied in the hot-rolled or cold-rolled and annealed condition. As an exception, alloy grade 301 may be supplied in either of four work-hardened conditions. The alloy compositions and mechanical properties specified align with those in ASTM A240. In this edition, the Unified Numbering System alloy designations have been included for information purposes.
