Proposes component and installation requirements for cabling of premises requiring from one to four exchange lines and extension of these to various voice and data communications terminal equipment. Some requirements, especially with respect to cable and cabling topology, are new to the industry and are included in anticipation of new telecommunication services. Reference is made to mandatory Standards which apply in Australia. This proposed Standard is intended for use by carriers, equipment designers and manufacturers, building owners, managers and users, contractors and companies involved in the sale, installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and services.
