This Standard is technically more advanced than the 1986 edition and includes the requirements for signalling links using radio (or wire-free) facilities, wired circuits, information on indication display, and the requirement for transient voltage disturbance has been amended in line with current legislation. A new section has been added to give guidance on operational procedures and responsibilities. Specific comment is sought on battery requirements, power supply failure and types of circuit wiring.
