Proposes minimum requirements for the assessment, analysis, design and detailing for strengthening existing buildings for earthquakes in accordance with the strength limit state design method. The Standard is not intended to apply to existing domestic buildings constructed of timber, masonry, concrete or steel. Also, it does not apply to Class 1 and 10 buildings as defined in the Building Code of Australia.
