Proposes requirements for powered low-rise vertically lifting platforms. The platforms may be controlled by automatic or constant pressure devices. It is intended that the Standard be applied only where the platform is used by persons with limited mobility or for wheelchair applications. Guidance on maintenance, inspection and testing and on selection of the type of lift is given in appendices.
