Proposes requirements for the selection and installation of equipment, design and testing of electrical installations, especially with regard to the essential requirements for safety from physical injury, fire or electric shock. The requirements may also be applied to electrical installations that may affect livestock. Many of the prescriptive work practices contained in AS 3000-1991 have been removed. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
