Proposes requirements necessary for the granting of certificates to persons engaged in the operation of various welding processes used in the manufacture of boilers, pressure vessels and associated piping, as well as, other applications requiring a prescribed standard in the theory and practice of welding. It also proposes to introduce independent training and examination bodies acceptable to the State and Territorial regulatory bodies.
