La présente partie 4 de l'EN 10263 s'applique au fil machine de section ronde aux barres rondes et au fil ayant un diamètre inférieur ou égal à 100 mm, en acier allié et non allié, destinés à des opérations de transformation à froid (frappe à froid) et d'extrusion à froid, suivies d'un traitement par trempe et revenu. La présente partie 4 de l'EN 10263 est complétée par l'EN 10263-1.
